Dr.B
Sylvain Willenz Artworks (BE)
2002
Dr. B is an exploration into the rubber production possibilities and the cultural relevance of bamboo in a western context. Qualities of bamboo are celebrated and treated in an unforeseen process where lengths of bamboo are strapped and dipped into a contrasting bright coloured rubber. Once cured, the rubber acts as a bonding agent, holding the seating elements (bench and stools) together.
